hirta has been created to promote the best in Scottish Design and to support new and emerging designers. Our aim is to play a part in having Scotland recognised as a ‘design nation’ and provide a creative, stimulating environment for Scottish design and designers to thrive.

hirta provides:

· A one-stop location to find the best Scottish Designers and see their work.

· A platform for designers to explore new ways of working in collaboration with other designers, artists, manufacturers and crafts-people.

· A place to buy good design including specially commissioned ‘hirta collections’ pieces.

hirta’s founders are architects and designers Bruce Brebner and Karen Anderson.
